
John Lesser, CFA, CPA, CFP®, Partner provides comprehensive investment consulting, estate planning, and income tax planning services to wealthy families. He operates as the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) of their personal balance sheets to maximize the after-tax value of their wealth and assist families in achieving their philanthropic and multigenerational missions. His specialties include advanced portfolio construction concepts, manager searches and due diligence, performance reporting, and sophisticated wealth transfer techniques.
John received his bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance from Oakland University, and his master of business administration degree in finance from Wayne State University. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Financial Analysts Society of Detroit. In 2008, John was named to Crain’s Detroit Business’s annual “40 Under 40,” which honors the best and the brightest in Southeast Michigan who have made their marks in business before age 40. Additionally, he has been listed among Barron’s “Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors” for three years in a row.
