
As the leader of the Plante Moran Financial Advisors (PMFA) institutional investment consulting practice, Mark specializes in providing consulting services to institutional investors and family offices while also overseeing training. Mark also serves as Chair of PMFA’s Investment Committee. He’s known for his creativity combined with a deep, technical knowledge of investment consulting and wealth management. Mark has more than 23 years of experience in the industry.
Most recently, Mark’s focus has been advising clients on portfolio positioning necessary to meet spending/distribution requirements in a low-growth economic environment that may be accompanied by higher economic variability. He often speaks with clients, boards, and various conference participants about current investment trends, portfolio positioning, and cyclical and secular economic trends. Mark has a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He was named to Crain's Detroit Business’s “40 under 40” in 2004 and Barron's “Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors” in both 2011 and 2012.
