Bob Palmer, CPA, CFP®, President, Partner directs Plante Moran Financial Advisors, an affiliate of Plante & Moran, PLLC. For more than 20 years, he has provided personal financial planning services to wealthy individuals and families. Bob has particular expertise in coordinating investment strategies, estate planning, income tax planning, and mutual fund strategies into a well-designed plan. Additionally, he helps families design and implement family offices to meet their special needs. Bob’s management responsibilities include planning and forecasting, monitoring current practices, motivating staff to meet the groups’ objectives, and career development.
Bob received his bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University. He holds professional memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners. He is also a board member of Plante Moran Trust and Plante Moran Insurance Agency. In 2008 Bob was named to Worth Magazine’s “Top 250 Wealth Advisors” and Barron’s “Top 100 Independent Financial Advisers.” Additionally, he was recently named to Crain’s Detroit Business’ annual “40 Under 40,” which honors the best and the brightest in Southeast Michigan who have made their marks in business before age 40.
