Due Diligence Is Key
It starts with a formal, multi-step process that provides clients with both the documentation and insight to make informed implementation decisions. When analyzing candidates for search purposes, several qualitative and quantitative critical factors are considered.
By using an appropriate due diligence process, our clients receive objective and effective manager searches based on stringent criteria. In addition, through our fee negotiations and the size of our asset base, our clients may experience significant cost savings and access to managers not typically offered. It’s been our experience that the use of this process often saves 30 basis points or more per year on investment fees within some asset classes.
In addition, in the event that our clients use separate account managers to invest a portion of the portfolio assets, the managers hired will be required to obtain the best price and execution on trades. This helps to avoid conflicts of interest that may result from a manager placing trades with only one brokerage firm. It also allows for the best possible performance of investment assets by requiring the managers to seek out the best price of a security when
